The Department of Engineering Physics at Tsinghua University invites applications for one tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor. The successful candidate is expected to conduct pioneering research in novel principles and frontier technologies of particle accelerators. The appointment start date is anticipated to be before December 31, 2026.

I. Job Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching in particle accelerator-related courses and contribute to curriculum development.

Conduct cutting-edge research in particle accelerators, with focus areas including but not limited to:

a) Novel accelerator principles based on innovative electron beam and electromagnetic field interaction mechanisms.

b) Frontier accelerator technologies through interdisciplinary integration with advanced materials, advanced manufacturing, and artificial intelligence.

c) Other promising new concepts and methodologies in particle accelerators.

Participate in departmental and university service activities.

II. Qualifications and Requirements

Hold a doctoral degree in particle accelerator physics, nuclear technology, applied physics, or a closely related field.

Demonstrate an outstanding record of research achievements and exhibit strong potential for future scholarly excellence.

Exhibit a commitment to high-quality teaching and student mentorship.

Possess the ability to develop and sustain an innovative, externally funded research program.
